Why RTD Exists
THE PROBLEM RTD SOLVES.
BEFORE RTD
Designing a tent or tensile structure for a client meant hours in CAD, producing drawings that were technically accurate but impossible for a client to understand, and that locked you into a design before you'd even had the conversation. Most hirers and contractors were quoting from memory, or rough sketches, and hoping for the best.
WITH RTD
RTD produces accurate, dimensionally-correct 3D designs in minutes, in the room, on screen, in front of the client. Every option they see is a real option you can deliver. From the first conversation to the signed order, RTD removes the gap between what you can do and what your client can understand.

Rudi Enos has 40 years of experience designing special structures for the events and construction industries. In 1978 he built his first 30m Big Top, which went on to be used at Glastonbury Festival for around 25 years. His 1987 Kayam design was the first large-scale tent to remove the centre king pole for unobstructed audience sightlines, and is considered the forerunner of most large-scale tension structures in use today. The BBC chose its iconic shape as the logo for their festival coverage.
In 1998 his Valhalla Tensile 1 was awarded the Guinness World Record for the largest portable event venue ever built. His structures have housed political summits, world-class music festivals, Disney on Ice tours, Formula 1 grandstands, Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows and London Fashion Week. In 2025 he was awarded the Legend Award at the Event Production Awards.
RTD is a direct product of that experience. 40 years of knowing what the industry needs, and knowing that the right tools didn't exist, led to building them from scratch.
